Being a Friday night and being one who likes traditions, the Casa Nadia family watched a movie together, Ozzie. It's a pretty cute movie about a talking koala that is kidnapped from Australia and a boy who protects him and eventually gets him back home. There was a great scene where one of the bad guys decides to do the right thing... that will be a teaching tool in the near future. I decided to do something new and let the older boys watch a surfing DVD (thanks, NB!) while I tucked in the rest of the kids. I tried to hide what the older boys were getting to do, but most of them knew and no one threw a fit. No crizas. Really, no one even complained. These kids have come a long way.

I was able to tuck-in each kid last night and pray for them and then pray with them. Some of the kids giggled as they were prayed over -- evidence to me that this isn't happening enough. Evidence to me that it is a positive thing to them and it makes them feel good. And I was reminded again that truly God has rescued them from a empty future that only He could know... and has deposited them into a life of possibility and hope. Pray for them to want to know Him... pray for God to save Adi, Janos, Daniel, Fanel, Sergiu, Daniela, Ibi, Margareta and Laura...to bring them into the saving knowledge of who Jesus is and what He did for them. Pray for them to have hearts to love Jesus. Pray for God to enable me to be an example to them.

Thank you for the opportunity to be here. Thank you for letting me see how intentional God is about each of these kids...about each of us. He knows these kids. He knows you as well, your hurts and happinesses... your dreams and desires.
Hey! He helped me fix the washing machine today (and yesterday, the sink and my glasses!)... He wants to be a part of your life as both Friend and Lord. What a combination.
