When it rains, it pours

well, yes, it is a drizzly morning, but really i am speaking of the fact that angela walked into my room 45 minutes ago and said "i am your alarm clock" which always sets me straight up in bed... let me explain. i cooked dinner last night (that alone is worth blogging about). the majority of the pots, pans and dishes we own are now above the counter and in the sink and you may be thinking, "well, wash your dishes Bethany", but alas, there has been no hot water since yesterday afternoon (Welcome to Romania). thus, we wait. and last night was a great evening for exploring along the mures river, so i got home late. dishes everywhere, little sleep, and "Vali just called and the couch will be here in just a little bit and what guys can we call to help bring it upstairs?" Umm, what? All the boys we know are at work. So i get up to help drag the makeshift couch (2 mattresses) out of the living room, move various pieces of furniture and realize that the bathroom has been rearranged...? Of course, the washing machine repair man (no washing machine the last 3 weeks) is on his way. Also, when the couch arrives, we will need to pay for it in cash (again, welcome to Romania) and so in the drizzle I head out to the money change office, very thankful for the travel fund account that is providing the money for couch. The high point is that if the couch comes when the this man and the chauffeur for Ana and Nadia, Domnul Traian, is here, we have men to help. A working washing machine and a couch in the same morning? What's a girl to do?

Whew. I'm already ready for a nap.
