God's Goodness
Sometimes you just need to stop and realize that the blessings have been pouring down and you’ve been missing them. Specifically, God has provided financially for the kids of casa Nadia in several ways…
· Thru a friend reading the blog, both a vcr and a dvd player have been donated – in fact they are already here! Movies are a special treat at the houses as our kids are still memorized by the TV and we can loose them in a trance, so movie time is limited….but now all the VHS movies I brought with me can be used (Veggie Tales have hit Romania!)
· When this friend agreed to send the VCR and DVD player, she also asked if there was anything that would be wanted – cake mixes and play clothes! A sponsor of one of Nadia’s kids sent a cookbook that uses cake mixes as the base ingredient – except that Romania does not have these to be purchased! She asked for people from her Sunday school class to donate these and many came over! Play clothes for girls and boys also came in the boxes!
· A friend came over during Christmas and wanted to purchase a VCR for the houses…after several months of looking I gave up and asked about it on the blog. The money left was able to help pay for the very expensive shipping!
· A longtime friend had a birthday party for two of her children and asked that instead of people bringing gifts for her kids, that they bring clothing, flip flops and beach towels for the kids of Nadia. What generosity!
· THEN much of the love in the form of clothing and beach towels was able to be shipped by another friends company for free!
· Yes, there is more… the sponsor who sent the cookbooks asked her church to do a clothing drive and has received summer and winter clothes and shoes for all of the 48 LOC kids as well as baby clothing for the young ones I visit in the Luduş baby hospital. She has also raised money for disposable diapers at the hospital after hearing that the babies are only changed twice daily due to lack of materials.
Thank You, Lord for knowing about, caring for and meeting the needs of the kids of Casa Nadia and LOC in general.
