Daniel's Birthday!

We celebrated our first family birthday this week...Daniel turned 9. The day before his birthday, I told him tomorrow was his birthday (how different...in America most kids are counting it down) and how excited we were to celebrate his day of birth! A beautiful chocolate cake was made for him....the kids blew up balloons and decorated the eating area as a surprise....they stood out of sight while they waited for him to come downstairs...and greeted him with a loud version of the Romanian birthday song...we ate cake, with most kids having two slices, and he opened a present from the family and one from one of the Mom's. Happy Birthday, Daniel!
